What is a Physiotherapist?

Physiotherapists are health care professionals who are professionally and specialise in maximising human movement and potential. They are experts in injury diagnosis and treatment, injury prevention and rehabilitation. They may work with someone after an accident, injury or surgery or may work to prevent the occurrence of injury, i.e. with sporting clubs or in the workplace.

What conditions does physiotherapy treat?

We treat patients for a wide variety of conditions with a wide array of techniques. We offer a comprehensive range of physiotherapy services including injury treatment and prevention, women’s health, exercise therapy and sports therapy. We also provide corporate and occupational health solutions.

How do I know if my health insurance covers physical therapy services?

We recommend that you confirm this with your insurance provider.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring along any previous medical or surgical history, together with any scans if you have them together with a list of any current medications.

How many visits will I need?

Depending on your individual problem the number of treatments will vary. A recommended treatment plan will be discussed with you after a comprehensive assessment.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that allow access to the injured area. Your physiotherapist will use towels to cover you at all times to ensure you are comfortable.

Do I need a doctor referral?

You do not need a referral from your GP.
